Bose is bringing back wired earbuds. The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds cost $99 and ship October 15 in white, black and a limited-edition mint green, Bloomberg reported. Preorders open Monday at Bose and Best Buy. They are the first new wired pair from Bose in 11 years, and Raza Haider, Bose's president of consumer audio, said the launch took around eight or nine months from idea to final product.

Sales of corded headphones rose 10 percent in the back half of 2025 and 20 percent at the start of 2026, the first rise in five years, WIRED reported, with young people driving it. Reviewer Harry Rabinowitz spent four days with a late-stage prototype, so his notes are impressions, not a full review. He found the sound and the noise canceling better than cheaper wired pairs like EarPods, and the noise canceling let him listen at lower volume on a commute. His complaint is the control panel on the cable. It's heavy enough to weigh down the earbuds and add cable tension.
