> A 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 has been on record since November 2024. Samsung has not put a camera number on stage.

The camera part in the [Samsung Galaxy Glasses](https://idevice.com/smart-glasses/samsung-galaxy-glasses/roadmap) has been on record since November 2024. A supply-chain note out of Korea put it at 12 megapixels on a Sony IMX681 sensor.

The frame shows two lenses. In the leaked renders they sit at the outer edges, small enough to miss unless you are looking for them, and a July hands-on with both launch frames described dual cameras on each.

Autofocus is the one that changes daily use. The camera focuses rather than sitting at one fixed distance, per GalaxyClub in January, which is the difference between a pair of glasses that can read a menu and a pair that cannot.

None of those numbers came from Samsung.

What sits around the camera is firmer. The frames weigh about fifty grams and run a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1, with directional speakers using bone conduction, which sends sound through the bone near your ear instead of into it.

The part number is twenty-one months old. Samsung has never said it out loud.
