# Galaxy S27 Ultra could weigh 218 grams at the same thickness

Ice Universe says the Galaxy S27 Ultra weighs 218 grams and is 7.9mm thick, SamMobile reported today. The S26 Ultra is 7.9mm thick too, and it weighs 214 grams. So the new phone would carry four extra grams in a body no thicker than the one you can buy now. That's less than a sheet of printer paper.

Another tipster, kro, has said Samsung built five S27 Ultra battery prototypes and is aiming for somewhere between 5,700mAh and 6,000mAh, and a cell that size would account for the extra grams. The S26 Ultra has 5,000mAh. Even at the low end of that range, the phone would gain about 14 percent more capacity for about 2 percent more weight. Samsung also tested a 7,000mAh version with the S Pen silo taken out, and it isn't the one expected to ship.

OnLeaks CAD renders published in August put the S27 Ultra at 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm, against 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm for the S26 Ultra. Ice Universe says 7.9. Either way, the body barely changes, and nearly all of the redesign sits in the camera module, which stands 12.53mm at the bump. CAD figures come from case-maker files rather than from Samsung, and the official dimensions may differ.

A leaked price list puts the S27 Ultra at $1,499, which is $200 above the tier the Ultra sits in today. A Korean tipster [says Samsung plans to raise prices across the whole S27 range](https://idevice.com/galaxy-s27-prices-could-rise-again-korean-tipster-says), possibly with a wider gap between storage sizes.

The phone isn't expected until early 2027, and Samsung hasn't confirmed any of these numbers.
