> Storage doubles to 64 GB and the software adds ultra-running tools. The case, screen and 90-day solar battery match the Enduro 3.

Garmin has listed the [Enduro 4](https://idevice.com/smart-watches/garmin-enduro/roadmap) on some of its regional websites, Gadgets & Wearables reported on October 6. The ultra-endurance watch keeps the [Enduro 3](https://idevice.com/smart-watches/garmin-enduro/roadmap/enduro-3)'s 51 x 51 x 15.7 mm case, 1.4-inch MIP display and Power Sapphire lens. The headline battery numbers don't move either: up to 36 days as a smartwatch and up to 90 with solar, plus up to 320 hours of GPS with solar, and 60 hours of maximum-accuracy tracking, or 90 with solar.

Storage is the one real hardware jump, from 32 GB to 64 GB. The Enduro 4 also swaps the Enduro 3's ultra-light elastic nylon loop for Garmin's ComfortFit strap, which takes the total weight from 63 grams to 66. The watch body stays at 57 grams. Gadgets & Wearables puts the price at $900, which is $100 more than the Enduro 3.

Most of what's new is software, and it's aimed at ultra-running and multi-day events. Grade-adjusted pace workouts account for climbs and descents when they set pace targets. A pack weight setting factors the load you're carrying into running, hiking and walking. A race planner lets you mark aid stations, checkpoints, cut-off times, notes and planned rest, and automatic rest timing then tracks how long you spend at each stop. Dynamic round-trip routing builds a route for a distance you choose, and builds another of similar length if you leave the course.

Garmin also debuts a feature called Epic, which is built for activities that run across several days. Instead of treating each day as its own chunk of data, it pulls performance and health information into one view of the whole event. Garmin says you can record, review and share that progression afterward.

Gadgets & Wearables also lists several newer Garmin features that come to the Enduro 4: Evening Report, Smart Alarm, Health Status, respiratory variations and routine tracking. Garmin's comparison page shows rucking workouts and mixed multisport sessions as new. Garmin has also widened indoor rowing support, reporting VO2 max, FTP, power curves and lactate threshold on compatible equipment. The sensor set is the familiar one: wrist heart rate, Pulse Ox, skin temperature, multi-band GNSS, SatIQ, an altimeter, a barometer and a compass.

The case, screen, solar charging and battery figures all match the Enduro 3, so the new parts come down to the storage, the strap and the software. In September, [Russian paperwork named the Enduro 4 and the tactix 9](https://idevice.com/russian-paperwork-names-the-unreleased-garmin-tactix-9-and-enduro-4) while both were still unreleased.
