# Gentle Monster's Android XR glasses launch in December, with pre-orders November 12

Gentle Monster's version of Samsung's [Galaxy Glasses](https://idevice.com/smart-glasses/samsung-galaxy-glasses/roadmap), the "Intelligent Eyewear" line it is building with Samsung and Google, launches in December. The Korean brand posted the date on X alongside a teaser for a Jonathan Glazer short film starring Joaquin Phoenix, and its website, as [Engadget reported](https://www.engadget.com/2309631/googles-eyewear-partners-cant-keep-a-lid-on-its-smart-glasses-plans/), puts pre-orders on November 12, the same date Warby Parker appeared to let slip a day earlier.

Google hasn't confirmed either date. These first frames skip a display and lean on audio, with Gemini as the main thing you talk to, so they compete with [Meta's Ray-Ban glasses](https://idevice.com/smart-glasses/meta-ray-ban/roadmap) rather than with display models like the Xreal Aura. If you want a pair this year, November 12 is the day to watch, with delivery expected in December.
