> Google's health account posted "Get an Edge on your health" with the date 10.12.26. The leaked Fitbit Edge is a band with a 1.3-inch OLED screen, reported ECG and a price near $180.

Google has put a date on its next Fitbit. The company's health account posted a teaser on X today that reads "Get an Edge on your health," followed by 10.12.26. That's Monday.

The post doesn't name a product. It hardly needs to. A band with a screen, called the Fitbit Edge, has been leaking for a couple of weeks, and the capital E in the tagline points straight at it. Leaked renders have already shown the band from every angle.

## What the leaks describe

The Edge is a fitness band with a display. That makes it the opposite of the screenless [Fitbit Air](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap). Leaked renders show a body that borrows from the Pixel Watch, with one difference: the module that holds the screen and sensors is an ellipse and not a circle. The screen is reported to be a 1.3-inch OLED.

Those reports lead with ECG, which reads the heart's electrical signal and is usually something you buy a smartwatch to get. GPS has come up too, though less firmly. Water resistance is reported at 5 ATM.

On software, the leaks point to Fitbit OS. The Edge is also reported to take over from the Fitbit Sense and the Fitbit Versa in Google's lineup.

## The price

Leaked European pricing puts the Edge at about £159 in the UK and €179 in the EU, per Digital Trends. That works out to roughly $180 for US shoppers, which would land it a little above the Fitbit Air and below a full smartwatch.

Google hasn't confirmed a price, a spec or even the name. The teaser gives a date and a pun.

## What Monday should settle

The US price comes first, because a conversion from euros is a guess. Then there's the feature list. ECG and GPS are what would separate the Edge from a cheaper band, and neither is confirmed. Last is the day you can buy one. A teaser with a date tells you when Google will talk. It doesn't tell you when the band ships.

## What to do

If you're shopping for a Fitbit this weekend, wait. Three days costs you nothing. A band with a screen, ECG and GPS near $180 would change what every other Fitbit is worth, and if Monday brings something else, you've lost a weekend. The Fitbit Air is still the one to get if you never want a screen on your wrist.
