Same data as the page, last updated 2026-10-05. > Fitbit Air is Google's $99.99 screenless band: heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen and sleep, up to 7 days, 5 ATM. The tracking needs no subscription. - Status: On sale - List price: $99.99 (The maker's own starting price.) Source: [Google](https://support.google.com/googlehealth/answer/17033101). - Released May 26, 2026 (source: [blog.google](https://blog.google/products-and-platforms/products/google-health/google-health-coach/)) - Guide: https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap - Last updated: 2026-10-05 ## Can it do this? - **Do I need a subscription?** No. The tracker works without one. A paid plan is optional here rather than required, so the $99.99 buys a device that keeps recording on its own. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-do-i-need-a-subscription)) - **How long does the battery last?** It runs up to 7 days on a charge, and that is the maximum figure rather than a typical week. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-how-long-does-the-battery-last)) - **What does it cost?** It costs $99.99. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-what-does-it-cost)) - **Does it have GPS?** It borrows your phone's. There is no GPS in the band, so a run is only mapped when the phone comes along. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-does-it-have-gps)) - **Can it get wet — shower, pool, swimming?** Yes. It is rated to 5 ATM and IP68 in factory condition, which covers the shower and the pool. Those ratings are stated for a new device, so they fade as the seals age. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-can-it-get-wet-shower-pool-swimming)) - **Does it work with my phone?** Yes. It works with an iPhone or an Android phone, and you do need one, because the band has no screen and the app is where the data is read. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-does-it-work-with-my-phone)) - **How fast does it charge?** It goes from empty to full in about 90 minutes on the included USB-C cable, and five minutes on the charger is worth about a day. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-how-fast-does-it-charge)) - **How heavy is it?** It weighs 5.2g on its own, and about 12g once the standard band is on it. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-how-heavy-is-it)) - **How does it connect?** It connects over Bluetooth 5 to your phone, which it also relies on for connected GPS because there is no GPS built into the tracker. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-how-does-it-connect)) - **Where do I wear it?** You wear it on the top of your wrist, behind the wrist bone. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-where-do-i-wear-it)) - **Does it take an ECG?** No. There is no ECG in it, so the irregular rhythm alerts it does give come from the optical sensor rather than an electrical trace. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-does-it-take-an-ecg)) - **Does it measure blood oxygen?** Yes. Red and infrared sensors estimate your blood oxygen overnight, which is an estimate of saturation rather than a medical reading. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-does-it-measure-blood-oxygen)) - **Does it track heart rate?** Yes, around the clock on an optical sensor, and that is a real measurement rather than a derived score. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-does-it-track-heart-rate)) - **Does it track HRV?** Yes. It reads HRV overnight, measured from the gaps between your heartbeats. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/fitness-trackers/fitbit-air/roadmap#can-does-it-track-hrv)) ## Works with Works with iPhone and Android phones. - **Does the Google Fitbit Air work with Android?** Works.
