## Can it do this?

- **Does it work with my phone?** Yes, with an iPhone or an Android phone. It is the only headset here that does not pick a side, and once it is set up it runs on its own without a phone at all. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/head/meta-quest/roadmap/quest-3#can-does-it-work-with-my-phone))

- **How heavy is it?** It weighs about 515g, the lightest of the three headsets here, and that figure already includes its battery. - **What software does it run?** It runs Meta Horizon OS, Meta's own platform. Our own read is that its library of games and apps is the largest of the three headsets here by a wide margin, and that is most of the reason to buy one. - **How wide is the field of view?** It covers about 110 degrees horizontally, the widest horizontal figure of the three headsets here. - **What kind of screen is it?** It uses two LCD panels at 2064 by 2208 pixels per eye behind thin pancake lenses. LCD lights the panel from behind, so blacks look more dark grey than on the self-lit displays in Vision Pro and Galaxy XR, which is one reason those headsets can look richer and cost more. - **Can I control it with my hands and eyes?** It follows your hands but not your eyes. You gesture in front of the cameras, or pick up the two controllers that come in the box. Eye tracking is on the Apple Vision Pro at $3,699 and the Samsung Galaxy XR at $1,799.99.
