## Can it do this?

- **Can it get wet — shower, pool, swimming?** Yes to a shower, no to the pool. The line is rated IP68, dust tight and rated for immersion past a metre, which is the strongest rating any foldable we cover carries. Swimming laps and diving need a rating it does not have. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-can-it-get-wet-shower-pool-swimming))
- **How much storage does it have?** It starts at 256GB and goes to 1TB, across three options. Even the base tier has room for the video a tablet-sized screen invites you to shoot. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-much-storage-does-it-have))
- **Does it have a 120Hz screen?** Yes. Both screens run adaptively from 1Hz up to 120Hz, so scrolling is smooth open or shut. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-does-it-have-a-120hz-screen))
- **Does it do 5G?** Yes. It covers sub-6 and mmWave, so it picks up the fast short-range band as well as the everyday one. That is reported rather than published by Google. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-does-it-do-5g))
- **Does it unlock with my face?** Yes. Face unlock works on the current model, and we expect Google to keep it on the next one. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-does-it-unlock-with-my-face))
- **How fast does it charge?** It reaches 50% in 30 minutes wired, with a fast charger. Plan around that half-hour top-up rather than a full charge. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-fast-does-it-charge))
- **How heavy is it?** It weighs 239g. That is heavy next to an ordinary phone and light next to most foldables, and the weight is the price of carrying two screens. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-heavy-is-it))
- **How good is the camera?** It shoots on a 48MP main camera, one of three on the back, with a 10MP front camera. The fold is the trick worth using: the rear lenses can take your selfies while you frame them on the cover screen. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-good-is-the-camera))
- **What video can it shoot?** It shoots 4K at 60fps at its highest setting, which is where most phones top out. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-what-video-can-it-shoot))
- **How does it connect?** It connects over Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, with ultra-wideband for precise finding and Thread for smart home accessories. That set is reported rather than published by Google. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-does-it-connect))
- **How big is the battery?** The battery is 4,806 mAh. That is an ordinary flagship battery asked to light a screen twice the usual size, which is why the 24 hour figure is the one to watch rather than the capacity. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-big-is-the-battery))
- **What colours does it come in?** It comes in three finishes: Obsidian, Olive and Porcelain. Foldables launch on a short colour list and rarely add to it, so we would take these as the range. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-what-colours-does-it-come-in))
- **How sharp and bright is the screen?** It reaches 3,600 nits at its brightest and packs 372 pixels into every inch. That is bright enough to read in direct sunlight with the phone open. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-sharp-and-bright-is-the-screen))
- **How thick is it?** It is 5mm thick open and 10.1mm folded shut. Open, it is thinner than most ordinary phones. Shut, it is roughly two of them. ([on the Guide](https://idevice.com/phones/pixel-fold/roadmap#can-how-thick-is-it))
