# iOS 27 reorganizes AirPods settings instead of building a standalone app

## What happened

iOS 27 reportedly reorganizes AirPods settings and adds Google Cast as a default AirPlay alternative, but only in EU markets and without a standalone app.

## Our take

AirPods now track health data and run AI features, but finding their settings still means digging through the Bluetooth menu like it's 2015. iOS 27 will revamp that settings menu, but Mark Gurman confirms AirPods won't get a dedicated app the way Apple Watch does. Better organized settings are an improvement, but the hardware has outgrown a menu.
