> Three-way nose pads, bendable temple tips and hinges that open wider. The designer branding went, and the adjustments arrived.

Meta's newest glasses carry Meta's name and nobody else's. The lineup drops Ray-Ban and Oakley branding in pursuit of a lower price, and the name it takes is the one people were already using for the product.

None of EssilorLuxottica's own styles or branding appear on them.

What arrived with the rebrand is fit. The nose pads adjust three ways and the temple tips bend for a tighter hold. The hinges over-extend, so the arms open wider than they do on a Ray-Ban or an Oakley frame, which is what you want if you have a wider face.

Twenty-six styles launch, all of them compatible with prescription lenses. Battery is eight hours on the frame with another forty in the case.

Twenty-six frames, eight hours a charge, and not one designer logo.
