> The September update reaches every pair already sold, adding steadier noise canceling, sleep detection through a Pixel Watch, and Live Translate across 70-plus languages.

Google added an Olive finish to the [Pixel Buds Pro 2](https://idevice.com/earbuds/google-pixel-buds-pro/roadmap/buds-pro-2) and left the hardware alone. Only the outer shell takes the color, the rest of the plastic stays black, and the charging case is still plain white. Olive joins Porcelain, Peony, Hazel and Moonstone, and it matches the Olive on the Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold. The drivers, Silent Seal and the battery numbers all carry over untouched, and no [Pixel Buds Pro 3](https://idevice.com/earbuds/google-pixel-buds-pro/roadmap) turned up to replace any of it. The buds list at $229 and have been going for $189.

In September the [noise canceling starts adjusting to how the tip sits in your ear](https://9to5google.com/2026/08/12/google-pixel-buds-pro-2-olive-anc-sleep-update/), and Google says not even jumping jacks break it. The buds also pair with a Pixel Watch to catch when you have fallen asleep and pause whatever is playing. Gemini takes voice commands for bass and treble, Live Translate covers more than 70 languages, and a Pixel Tag owner can ring a missing tag through the buds without reaching for a phone. All of it reaches new and existing owners alike. [A pulled Amazon listing in July pointed at a paint job rather than a Pro 3](https://idevice.com/pixel-buds-pro-2-leaks-in-dark), and that is what August 12 delivered.
