# The Galaxy S26 now starts at $999.99 in the US after a $100 price hike

Samsung raised US prices on the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra on October 1, and [the change is now official on Samsung Mobile US](https://www.androidheadlines.com/2026/10/samsung-just-raised-galaxy-s26-prices-in-the-us-and-every-model-is-now-more-expensive.html). Most configurations went up $100, and the 1TB S26 Ultra went up $200 to $1,999.99. The S26 now starts at $999.99, the S26+ at $1,199.99 and the S26 Ultra at $1,399.99.

Samsung has not given a detailed explanation, but [the hikes land amid a sharp rise in memory costs](https://sammyguru.com/samsung-galaxy-s26-series-prices-increased-in-the-us/) as chipmakers put data centers and AI first. Korea got the same increase earlier. Sales could bring the old prices back for a while: Amazon’s second Prime Day sale starts October 6, and holiday sales follow.
