> SamMobile's app images settle the audio question and reveal a second, separate pair.

Images pulled from a Samsung app by [SamMobile](https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-buds-on-able-images-samsung-clip-on-earbud-design/) settle a question that has been open for months. The [Galaxy Buds On](https://idevice.com/earbuds/samsung-galaxy-buds-on/roadmap), also appearing as Buds Able, use a curved arm that wraps the outer ear with one module by the ear canal and a flatter one behind it. SamMobile's read is that these are open-ear air-conduction earbuds rather than the bone-conduction design earlier rumours described, which means you would hear your audio and the room at once.

A second pair surfaced the same week under the internal codename Buds Canal 5, hook-style with a conventional ear tip and aimed at workouts. It is separate hardware, not a variant of the clip-on. Two new form factors at once is the biggest change to this lineup in years. Samsung skipped both at July's Unpacked, and the clip-on pair may instead surface alongside the Galaxy S26 FE.
