> An executive promises a reasonable price in the premium range and no answer on recording.

Speaking after Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung executive Choi Jae-in told reporters the [Galaxy Glasses](https://idevice.com/smart-glasses/samsung-galaxy-glasses/roadmap) would be priced reasonably but positioned in the premium range initially, and argued that tying the glasses directly to a Samsung phone should let them handle AI better than Meta can, since Meta sells no matching handset. [Mashable](https://mashable.com/tech/samsung-smart-glasses-price-privacy-update) carried the remarks via the Korea Times.

Premium is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Meta's own glasses start at $299, so the floor is set by a rival that has already been selling for two years. Samsung's [own newsroom interview](https://news.samsung.com/global/interview-galaxy-unpacked-july-2026-intelligent-eyewear-the-first-step-toward-the-next-mobile-ai-interface) frames the product as the first step toward AI glasses as a mobile interface and likewise says nothing about whether the cameras record continuously. That is the question a buyer will ask first, and it has now gone unanswered twice.
