> SammyGuru's exclusive specs put the number under the 46 to 50 gram estimates that circulated for months.

Samsung's [Galaxy Glasses](https://idevice.com/smart-glasses/samsung-galaxy-glasses/roadmap) will weigh about 41 grams, according to specs SammyGuru obtained. That undercuts the roughly 46-gram target Korean reports put out earlier this year, and it is well under the 50-gram figure attached to renders that leaked back in April.

Samsung never put a number on it. At Unpacked in July the company said only that the glasses were lighter than most AI glasses on the market, without saying by how much. Prescription lenses will add some weight on top of the 41-gram figure, and the exact total will vary by model.

The spec sheet behind that weight points to a glasses-first, screen-free design. There is no display. A Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip runs the hardware, backed by 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 12MP camera shoots 3K video at 30fps, a sensor spec Galaxy Club had already reported in January. Two open-ear speakers and four microphones cover calls and Gemini, and an IPX4 rating means sweat and light rain are not a problem, though the charging case is not rated the same way. Battery life holds at up to 9 hours on the glasses, stretching to 72 hours with a full case charge, matching the numbers Samsung gave at Unpacked.

Two retail partners are shipping two different lineups. Gentle Monster's side covers six frame shapes across 16 color and lens combinations, including four non-black options not shown before. Warby Parker is selling three named styles, Alden, Reid and Wren, in 10 total versions with their own navy charging case. Gentle Monster's models sell in South Korea and the US; Warby Parker's are US only, through the brand's stores and website as well as Samsung Experience Stores.

The extra Galaxy-linked features need a recent Galaxy S, Z Fold or Z Flip phone running One UI 9 or later, and a Galaxy Watch on Wear OS 7 or newer unlocks the watch-paired tools. Basic functions work with any Android phone or an iPhone.

A few other details round out the picture. Samsung restricts the glasses' services and features to people 18 and older. Gentle Monster will sell prescription lenses directly through its website in the US; in South Korea, buyers go through a local optician instead. Buyers in South Korea also get spoken directions through Naver Maps alongside Google Maps.

Samsung still has not confirmed a price or an exact release date. The reporting points to a November launch, which matches the window other outlets have floated for weeks, and sales are expected to open through each brand's own stores and website, plus Samsung Experience Stores in the US.
