> Leaker @evowizz, who had the Galaxy Buds On name before launch, says Samsung's first Galaxy-branded over-ear headphones will be called Galaxy Studio.

Android developer @evowizz says Samsung's over-ear headphones will be called Galaxy Studio, 9to5Google reported on Thursday.

The same account had the Galaxy Buds On name before Samsung used it. Those clip-on earbuds go on sale in South Korea on October 27 for 299,000 won, about $220, in black only and under exactly that name.

Strings inside Samsung's Galaxy Wearable app called the headphones Galaxy H1 when [they first turned up in August](https://idevice.com/samsung-galaxy-h1-over-ear-headphones-app-code), next to icons of a plain over-ear shape. That was a code name, and Bluetooth was the one specification the code confirmed. Noise cancelling, Bluetooth 6.0, automatic switching between devices and longer battery life than the Galaxy Buds were all on the reported feature list, and Samsung hasn't confirmed any of them.

Studio is a different kind of name from Buds. Samsung's earbuds have all been Galaxy Buds, with words like Pro and On hung off the end. A new word says these aren't being sold as big Buds. They're a separate line, pointed at the buyer who'd otherwise pick up AirPods Max.

JBL is a Samsung company and the Tour One M3 is a JBL product, so Galaxy Studio would be the second pair of over-ear headphones under one roof and the first to carry the Galaxy name.

There's still no price and no look at the hardware beyond those app icons. Early 2027 is the window we're tracking, and Samsung hasn't announced the headphones.

If you're shopping for over-ear headphones this fall, don't wait on these. A name doesn't tell you what they cost or how they sound, and it'll be months before anyone can say.
