> You get 128GB in the box, and more will cost you. Sandisk's unbranded 1TB card at the same speed already sells for $360, so wait for the Meta-branded prices before you budget for one.

Sandisk will be the only company making official storage for Meta's VR Glasses, which launch in spring 2027 at $1,300. [Sandisk announced](https://www.uploadvr.com/sandisk-announces-made-for-meta-storage-products-for-quest-vr-glasses/) microSD Express cards and USB-C flash drives under Meta's Made for Meta label, tested by Meta, and they're meant for Quest headsets too. The VR Glasses come with 128GB built in and a microSD slot in the compute puck that takes cards up to 1TB. No Meta standalone headset has had expandable storage before, and Horizon OS has been getting ready for it: the Files app can now browse connected drives, and a test build lists external storage in Settings next to the internal kind.

Sandisk hasn't given capacities or prices yet, though official images show a 1TB card. Sandisk's own [1TB card at the same speed, without the Meta branding](https://roadtovr.com/sandisk-meta-vr-glasses-microsd-storage/), sells for $360, more than a quarter of the headset's price again. Plenty of buyers may not need one, since the glasses are pitched at watching video, mirroring screens for work and casual games. If that's how you'd use them, plan on the 128GB and wait for Sandisk's prices before you budget for a card.
