> watchOS 27 beta 3 put Siri AI and its own app on the Apple Watch. An Apple Intelligence iPhone is still required.

Siri AI was missing from the first watchOS 27 beta. It arrived on the wrist with beta 3 on July 6. Apple had announced watchOS 27 at WWDC on June 8, alongside a new Siri app, a dynamic app grid, better Smart Stack suggestions and new health tracking tools.

The Siri app collects your conversations and lets you move between the iPhone and the watch. You talk to it the way you would talk to Siri on any other Apple device, in ordinary sentences rather than commands.

Using it from the watch requires an iPhone that supports Siri AI, which in practice means an Apple Intelligence model. Five Apple Watch models do not get watchOS 27 at all, or the Siri features that come with it. In the EU it is not available.

Workout Buddy now runs without an iPhone nearby, so the coaching arrives with nothing in your pocket or hand. That holds during supported workouts, and the pairing is unchanged.
