> If your watch looks an hour fast only when the screen is dimmed, restart it or switch watch faces. US clocks go back on November 1.

Some Apple Watch owners on watchOS 27 in the UK and central Europe say their watch has been an hour fast since the clocks went back on Sunday, October 25. In a [MacRumors forums thread](https://www.macrumors.com/2026/10/26/apple-watch-users-report-dst-glitch-watchos-27/), five people describe the same thing: wake the screen and the time is right, but the Always-On display is stuck on summer time. It has also turned up in StandBy mode. It isn't clear which watchOS 27 versions or which Apple Watch models are affected.

Restarting the watch fixed it for three of them, and a sixth said switching to a different watch face worked too. Clocks go back across most of the US on Sunday, November 1, which will show whether this is a handful of watches in Europe or something Apple needs to fix. If yours is an hour fast when the screen dims, restart it before you try anything else.
