> Nothing here can be checked until someone buys a foldable iPhone and takes it apart.

Two leakers posted images this week of what they say is the [iPhone Ultra](https://idevice.com/phones/iphone-fold/roadmap)'s motherboard. Lusi Roy, a little-known account, put up a [10-second video and annotated stills](https://appleinsider.com/articles/26/08/26/iphone-ultra-motherboard-may-just-have-leaked), first spotted by MacRumors. A Weibo user going by Findmeow~ posted an annotated schematic of the same board, labelled chiefly with component numbers, and says it came from Mijing Tools, a Chinese iPhone repair firm.

The annotations that carry more than numbers line up across the two sets, which is either corroboration or a well-built fake. If the Weibo schematic really did come from Mijing, Apple is already handing repair documentation to third parties, and that would be early. None of it can be settled until someone buys a foldable iPhone and strips it apart. Apple is expected to announce the phone on [September 9](https://idevice.com/apple-event-september-9-invites-this-week).
