Oura Ring 5 is reportedly set to announce May 28 and ship June 5, and the design direction is smaller and lighter, not smarter. Oura is choosing comfort over new sensors, which sounds humble until you realize the Ring 4 already weighs between 3.3 and 5.2 grams. Shaving that down further means the battery, already a known weak point, takes another hit. A ring you forget you're wearing is only useful if it still has a charge.
