Meta wants 10 million wearables sold by end of 2026, and to get there it reportedly has four smart glasses models plus an AI pendant in development, with release windows running from June through December. The pendant play comes from Meta's acquisition of Limitless, a company that already built a device worn around your neck that records ambient audio and turns it into AI summaries. A prototype codenamed SSG would go further, using always-on cameras to passively scan your surroundings without you saying a word. Spending $19 billion a year to put a microphone around people's necks is a specific choice, and the privacy math gets harder the more passive the device becomes.
