The Short Version
Qualcomm announced Snapdragon Reality Elite, running 12°C cooler with 160% more AI performance. Xreal's Project Aura is the first device confirmed to use it.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite runs 12 degrees cooler and lasts 20% longer on battery than the chip it replaces, and Xreal's Project Aura is the first device built around it. The chip hits 48 TOPS of AI processing power, which means the glasses can run AI tasks on their own without needing a phone nearby. Xreal's asking $99 to reserve a pair, which converts to a $199 credit at purchase, but the final price still isn't public and display specs like brightness and resolution haven't been confirmed either.
