PROJECT AURA

Google Xreal Project Aura AR glasses 70 degree field of view

The Short Version

Google and Xreal previewed Project Aura, the first Android XR reference glasses, with a 70-degree display and a sub-$300 price point.

Xreal's Project Aura puts a full see-through AR display in front of your eyes — a 70-degree field of view wider than anything available today, including Meta's Ray-Ban Display. Unlike Ray-Bans, which layer a small screen over your vision, Aura is built for spatial computing: floating apps, immersive maps, and a virtual workspace above your laptop. All the computing runs through a separate puck in your pocket, which is why the glasses stay light enough to wear all day. Global launch confirmed before end of 2026, no price yet.
