Meta Glasses (2026)

Updated June 23, 2026

Meta launched its first in-house branded glasses on June 23, 2026. Three models: the Fury and Adventurer at $299, and the Starfire at $399, designed with Kylie Jenner. All manufactured with EssilorLuxottica, all running a faster chipset than Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, Muse Spark AI, and 8 hours of battery life.

The Ray-Ban brand is gone from this lineup. Meta is betting its own name is enough to sell glasses to people who have never thought about buying smart glasses. With 7 million pairs sold under Ray-Ban in 2025 and roughly 76% smart glasses market share, it has a strong starting position.

Meta is also considering an audio-only, camera-free version of these glasses. Removing the camera would lower the price further and open up new frame styles. The company explored the idea before and shelved it — this time it is being taken more seriously.

Reported features

12MP ultra-wide camera
Same 12-megapixel camera as Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2. Captures photos at 3024 x 4032 pixels.
No Ray-Ban or Oakley branding
First Meta smart glasses sold purely under the Meta brand name. EssilorLuxottica logo appears on temple arms and packaging alongside Meta.
Muse Spark AI (Meta Superintelligence Labs)
Ships with Muse Spark, Meta's latest AI model. Enables better answers and smoother conversations than prior Meta AI builds.
Adventurer: rectangular Wayfarer-adjacent shape, standard and large sizes
More classic, slim-arm rectangular frame. Available in standard and large.
Turn-by-turn audio directions
Navigation directions through the open-ear speakers, carried over from the Ray-Ban Meta Display.
3K video at 30fps / 1080p at 60fps
Same video modes as Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2. Includes video stabilization.
Fury: thicker, bolder rectangular frame, standard and large sizes
Larger, more statement frame. Comes in racing green translucent — a nod to Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Limited Edition.
8-hour battery life
8 hours from the frame. The charging case adds approximately 40 hours, for roughly 48 hours total.
Live translation (14 languages)
Real-time translation expanded to 14 languages including Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Hindi.
100-degree field of view
Same ultra-wide FOV as the Ray-Ban Meta lineup.
Three-way adjustable nose pad
New ergonomic addition across all three models. Snaps into three positions for a more secure fit across face shapes.
Starfire: oval cat-eye frame, gem on right lens
Designed with Kylie Jenner. Slim oval shape, small gem on the right lens near the camera. Available in black and tortoiseshell.
Adjustable temple tips and overextension hinges
Temple tips are bendable. Arms flex outward for wider head shapes. Both are new versus Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2.
Five-microphone array
Same mic array as Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 for voice commands, calls, and AI queries.
Starfire: metal nose bridge (easier to clean makeup off)
Metal instead of plastic on the Starfire's nose bridge — a specific request from Kylie Jenner. Reduces makeup residue.
Prescription support: -12 to +2.25
Prescription lenses available across all three styles through LensCrafters and EssilorLuxottica partners.
Starfire: charging case includes built-in mirror
Mirror inside the Starfire charging case, also a Jenner collaboration detail.
Open-ear speakers
Dual open-ear speakers for audio, calls, and AI voice output.
Hands-free photo and video capture
Camera button or voice command triggers capture. Photos save to the companion app.
Upgraded chipset vs Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2
Runs the same faster chipset that debuted in the Ray-Ban Meta Display, giving a performance advantage over the standard Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta glasses.
26 color and lens combinations (Adventurer + Fury)
Includes tortoise, black, and racing green translucent. Clear, tinted, polarized, and transitions lens options.
Meta AI vision (Look and Ask)
Point the camera at something and ask Meta AI about it in real time.
Live streaming to Instagram and Facebook
First-person live stream directly from the glasses to Meta social platforms.
Kylie Jenner AI voice (Starfire only)
The Starfire can replace Meta AI's standard voice with an AI-generated version of Kylie Jenner's actual voice. Covers all spoken elements — battery readout, setup instructions, and AI answers.
Audio-only, camera-free version under consideration
Meta is seriously considering a camera-free version of its glasses. No camera would lower the price further and enable new frame styles. The company explored this before and shelved it. Source: Mark Gurman / Bloomberg, June 23 2026.

Buy now or wait?

These are the most affordable Meta AI glasses available today. If you want Meta AI, hands-free camera, and Muse Spark at the lowest price Meta has ever offered, the Fury or Adventurer at $299 is the buy. The Starfire at $399 adds the Kylie Jenner AI voice, a gem on the lens, and a metal nose bridge — worth it only if those matter to you. If you are waiting for Ray-Ban Gen 3, that is still expected at Meta Connect on September 23–24 with a faster chip and longer Live AI battery life.

Quick answers

What are the Meta Glasses?
Meta Glasses are the first smart glasses sold under Meta's own brand name, launched June 23, 2026. Three models: Fury ($299), Adventurer ($299), and Starfire by Kylie Jenner ($399). Manufactured with EssilorLuxottica. All include a 12MP camera, 8-hour battery, Muse Spark AI, and prescription lens support.

How are Meta Glasses different from Ray-Ban Meta?
Meta Glasses start at $80 less than Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 ($299 vs $379), run a newer chipset for smoother AI conversations, add a three-way adjustable nose pad, bendable temple tips, and overextension hinges. The Ray-Ban name and logo are gone. The hardware platform is otherwise similar, and both lines now ship with Muse Spark AI.
What is the Kylie Jenner Starfire?
The Starfire is a $399 model designed with Kylie Jenner featuring an oval cat-eye frame, a gem on the right lens, a metal nose bridge (easier to clean makeup off), and a charging case with a built-in mirror. It includes an AI voice option that sounds like Jenner — the first time a celebrity AI voice has been the default interface of a wearable.
