Samsung's Galaxy Glasses have leaked for years. This is the record of who saw them first, and which early signals held.

At Unpacked in February 2023, Samsung announced an XR partnership with Google and Qualcomm, without naming a product or form factor. Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon later told CNBC he wanted “everyone that has a phone to go buy companion glasses to go along with it.”
What followed was three years of hints and leaks. Below is the paper trail. Every outlet that moved the story, the spec it put on record, and whether the next leak corroborated it, contradicted it, or added something new. At Unpacked, Samsung and Google showed the direction of their upcoming smart-glasses lineup. The event did not settle every hardware leak in this timeline.

Coming into focus
Leaks the first model number, SM-O200P, and the photochromic transition lenses.
Confirms the 12MP camera has autofocus; reveals a second model, SM-O200J.
Leaks a battery capacity of 245mAh, part EB-BO200CAY, and a sunglasses variant.
A One UI 9 code discovery ties SM-O200P and SM-O200J to “Jinju” and reveals a third model, SM-O500, codenamed “Haean.” Its exact form and capabilities remain unknown.

A late pre-launch report adds Full-HD video, a claimed nine-hour runtime, and a 1.9GHz processor clock.
The reveal
What Samsung and Google confirmed on stage: Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1, a display-free first pair with a camera, about nine hours of runtime, Warby Parker and Gentle Monster frames, and a fall launch. Green cells are official; the rest went unannounced.
