The first confirmed AirPods Pro 4 detail.

Hypertension Alerts

Watches

Ultra 3's blood pressure feature. Tracks blood pressure trends over 30 days and flags sustained elevated readings. It is a wellness indicator, not a medical diagnostic. Ultra 4's FDA submission targets real-time alerting, which is a different capability: an active alert when blood pressure spikes in the moment, similar to how AFib detection works.

I

Infrared (IR)

Earbuds

Light wavelengths invisible to the human eye. AirPods Ultra cameras use infrared — the same approach as Face ID — to sense the environment without capturing visible images. No photos, no stored footage. Environmental data is processed by the H3 chip, passed to Siri, then discarded.
