Samsung put Galaxy XR headsets in donation chairs and had donors stare at virtual seeds until flowers bloomed, set to music made with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, turning a 3-to-5-minute needle experience into something closer to a nature walk. If anxiety is the main reason blood banks stay chronically short, a headset that occupies your eyes and ears during the worst part is a genuinely practical fix.
