The Short Version
Samsung released a patch for Galaxy XR frame drops and stuttering caused by a memory leak, but the fix introduced screen tearing.
Samsung pushed an update to the Galaxy XR that caused severe frame drops and stuttering, then fixed the memory leak behind it, then introduced screen tearing with the fix. Three problems in sequence, on a single device, in a short window. New hardware categories are brutal testing grounds because the software is young and every patch touches code that hasn't been stress-tested at scale. Samsung is learning that lesson live, and Galaxy XR owners are paying the tuition.
