What we’re expecting
Apple reportedly wants its first smart glasses to be affordable enough for everyday buyers, not just early adopters. Current reporting points to a price between $200 and $500, placing the product far below Vision Pro and in direct competition with Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses.
Bloomberg reports Apple is targeting a retail price between $200 and $500 for its first-generation smart glasses. That would position the product closer to premium sunglasses than to high-end mixed reality headsets, making it accessible to a much broader audience. The pricing reflects Apple’s reported strategy. Rather than competing with devices such as Vision Pro, the glasses are expected to compete with camera-and-AI wearables like Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. The goal is to build a product people can comfortably wear all day instead of one designed primarily for immersive computing. Apple has not confirmed pricing, and the final cost will likely depend on frame materials, available styles, and regional pricing. Based on current reporting, however, a $200 to $500 range remains the most widely cited estimate.
