A custom Tensor chip replaces the Snapdragon

What we’re expecting

Internal Google gChips documents point to Google building its first custom wearable Tensor chip, codenamed NPT, to debut with Pixel Watch 5 and replace the Snapdragon W5 line. The main promised gain is battery life. The sourcing is a single credible report built on a leaked document dated 2023, so plans may have changed. Google has not confirmed it.
