What we’re expecting

Firmware and database references point to UWB support on Watch 9. If confirmed, it enables directional Find My Phone guidance, digital car key support, and proximity unlocking, none of which the Galaxy Watch 8 had. Whether UWB ships via the Snapdragon Wear Elite or a separate radio chip depends on which processor Watch 9 uses, though the firmware evidence is chip-independent.
