Vitals watches five signals while you sleep

What we’re expecting

Samsung officially announced Vitals on June 4, 2026. Each morning it analyzes five overnight bio-signals, heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen, against your true resting baseline, and alerts you only when something is off. It helps flag illness or recovery needs without alert fatigue.

Galaxy Watch 9's Vitals feature tracks five overnight readings, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen, and only alerts you when something drifts noticeably from your personal baseline. That last part is the whole design: most health wearables ping you constantly, so people start ignoring the alerts. Filtering by your own baseline instead of a generic range means a notification actually carries weight.
