Sony camera earbuds vs Ray-Ban smart glasses vision features compared

The Short Version

Sony added cameras to earbuds to rival smart glasses, but Ray-Ban already showed that slow responses, poor accuracy, and internet dependency make these features unreliable, and smaller lower-resolution cameras will not solve those issues.

Putting cameras in earbuds sounds clever until you remember that Ray-Ban smart glasses, which have better cameras and more surface area to work with, already struggled with slow responses, bad accuracy, and needing a constant internet connection to function. Swapping that out for low-resolution black-and-white video does not fix any of those problems. It just makes them smaller and worse.
