The Short Version
JBL launched three earbuds, the Live Buds 4, Live Beam 4, and Live Flex 4, at around $199 each, all featuring a charging case with built-in EQ and noise cancellation controls.
JBL built a charging case with a touchscreen, so you can skip songs or adjust sound without touching your phone. Apple's AirPods case still does nothing except hold the earbuds. JBL also lets you pick your own ear tip shape instead of locking you into one style. Apple has sold the same basic setup for years, and JBL just made that look like a choice, not a feature.
