Apple is reportedly adding cameras to AirPods Pro 4 Ultra to power AI features that understand a user's surroundings without a phone.
Cameras in earbuds mean your AirPods could see what you see, letting Siri answer questions about the world around you without you ever touching your phone. The catch is two-fold: Apple has to convince people that tiny cameras in their ears are not creepy, and Siri has to actually be good enough to use the information. Right now, neither of those things is true.
