Amazfit Balance 3 vs Garmin Bounce 2: which should you buy?

Who should get the Amazfit Balance 3
Get the Balance 3 if you want one tough watch for the gym, the trail and the pool. Amazfit lists more than 180 workout modes, HYROX training tools and up to 21 days of typical battery, with dual-band GPS and offline maps. It is rated for swimming and freediving, and its case is built to take knocks. On an iPhone it works with limits, so some features that need deeper phone access stay on Android.
Who should get the Garmin Bounce 2
Get the Bounce 2 for a child who is not ready for a smartphone. Garmin built it so kids can call, text and share a live location with their parents, and it tracks running, walking, cycling and team sports. It needs a cellular plan for calls and texts, so count that in. For an adult, it is the wrong watch.
The differences that matter
The Balance 3 brings dual-band GPS, offline maps and weeks of battery, which matter on a trail or in a new city.
The Bounce 2 keeps a child in touch with calls, texts and live location. If that is the job, it is the only one of the two that can do it.
