Is the HTC VIVE Eagle worth it?

Buy the HTC VIVE Eagle now if these are the glasses you want. No newer model is expected in the next three months, and they are camera and assistant glasses that look like ordinary frames. If that is the kind of smart glasses you are after, there is no reason to wait.

Who should get it

Get them if you want glasses that take photos, play music and answer questions without a screen in the lens. They suit people who want a camera on their face more than a display. They work with an iPhone and with an Android phone, so your phone does not decide this one.

Look elsewhere if you want a screen in the lens or the best open-ear sound. Rivals lead on the display and on audio, and if either is why you want smart glasses, those pairs will serve you better.

What you get

HTC builds the Eagle as an everyday pair with a camera, speakers and an assistant you talk to. They look like sunglasses rather than gadgets, which matters for something you wear all day. We do not yet have evidence we can compare across brands on the camera, the assistant or comfort, so we do not rank them there. Try a pair on if you can, because fit decides whether you keep wearing them.

Price and timing

Checked Nov. 4, 2026, the HTC VIVE Eagle costs $499. We started checking this price only in October, so we cannot call it a low yet, but nothing suggests it is about to fall. Only a newer model announced or reported inside the next three months would turn this answer to wait, and none is in view today.
