RayNeo iO vs Solos AirGo A5: which should you buy?

Get the RayNeo iO. It is the lighter pair, at 33g against 40g, and it shows its answers and translations on the lens, which the Solos AirGo A5 cannot. Both are glasses for wearing all day.

Who should get the RayNeo iO

Get the RayNeo iO if you want an assistant in your lens and nothing else on your face. RayNeo lists it at 33 grams, with free answers from RayNeo AI or Gemini shown on the lens and no camera on the frames. It also shows live translation as people talk, and it works with an iPhone and with an Android phone.

Who should get the Solos AirGo A5

Get the AirGo A5 if you want light audio glasses with an assistant. Solos lists about 10 hours of music per charge and a hands-free assistant you wake by voice, plus live translation for lectures and meetings. It works with an iPhone and with an Android phone.

The differences that matter

Both have voice assistants and live translation, and both work with an iPhone and with an Android phone. The A5 talks back through its speakers, while the iO shows you the words.

If sound is the reason, it is worth a look.

Smart glasses only work if you keep wearing them, so fit matters more than any spec. Try a pair on if you can, and check what prescription lenses will cost before you order. A pair that pinches your nose or slides down on a warm day will end up in a drawer, whatever it can do.

For answers you can read, pick the RayNeo iO.
