XREAL 1 Pro+ vs XBX a01+: which should you buy?

Get the XREAL XBX a01+. For most people it does the same job as the XREAL 1 Pro+, a big virtual screen for movies and games, and the XREAL XBX a01+ is far cheaper today. Neither pair leads on the things we compare, so price decides.

Who should get the XREAL XBX a01+

Get the XBX a01+ if you want a big virtual screen for as little money as possible. XREAL gives it directional speakers with four modes that keep sound mostly to you, and it turns a phone, laptop or handheld into a big screen in seconds. It works with limits on both phones, so check your model.

Who should get the XREAL 1 Pro+

Get the 1 Pro+ if you play on a handheld or work on a laptop. XREAL lists a 120Hz refresh rate for fast-moving games, plus an UltraWide Mode and dimming that shuts out the room. It works with an iPhone and with an Android phone.

The differences that matter

The 1 Pro+ adds work features, a wide virtual workspace and dimming that shuts out the room, and it works fully with an iPhone and with an Android phone. If you will work in your glasses, those matter.

The XBX a01+ keeps it simple and works with limits on phones, so check your model first. For movies and handheld gaming, it covers the job.

Try a pair on if you can. Fit around the nose and ears decides how long you can watch, and a pair that pinches will stay in the drawer.
