Covered

• Defects in materials and workmanship

  A new Google product and the parts packed with it are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one year from the date of original retail purchase.

• Battery covered only for defects

  The standard warranty covers a battery only if it fails from a defect.

  Pixel Care+ adds $0 battery replacement when the battery keeps less than 80% of its original charge capacity (phones; see plan).

Not covered

• Water damage

  Liquid damage voids the warranty. If a Google product has liquid damage, the warranty no longer applies and Google will not repair it; Google offers a paid replacement or returns the product.

• Accidents and misuse

  Damage caused by accidents is not covered.

• Normal wear and aging

  Damage caused by normal wear and tear is not covered.

• Scratches and dents

  Cosmetic damage is not covered unless failure comes from a defect.

• Not covered

  Damage from disassembly, alterations, or servicing by anyone other than Google-authorized technicians is not covered.

• Loss or theft

  Google's eligibility page says you may not get warranty support if the device was lost or stolen.
