Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 vs QALO SR-2: which should you buy?

The Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 and the QALO SR-2 do different jobs. The Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 is the ring built around cycle and fertility tracking. The QALO SR-2 is the ring for the widest set of health readings, from stress to blood oxygen.

Who should get the Luna Smart Ring Gen 2

Get the Luna ring if cycle tracking matters to you. Luna uses temperature and heart rate variability for menstrual and ovulation tracking, with Clue sync and no monthly fee. It works with an iPhone and with an Android phone, and it charges nothing extra for size or color.

Who should get the QALO SR-2

Get the SR-2 if you want the widest set of health readings with no subscription. QALO reads heart rate, HRV, stress, blood oxygen and temperature trends straight from your finger, and it works with an iPhone and with an Android phone. It is also eligible for health savings accounts.

The differences that matter

Neither ring leads on sleep tracking, battery life or comfort in our comparison, and neither charges a monthly fee. What decides this is what you most want to learn.

If your cycle is the reason, the Luna ring's Clue sync and fertility focus are the draw. If you want a broad picture of your health, the SR-2 reads more signals.

A ring is the quietest way to track sleep: no screen, nothing on your wrist, and nothing to wake you. Get your size right before you order, because a ring that sits loose reads poorly. Most makers send a sizing kit first, and it is worth the wait.

Price and value

Today the Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 costs $249 (checked Nov. 2, 2026) and the QALO SR-2 costs $199.95 (checked Nov. 2, 2026). The QALO SR-2 is cheaper by $49.

Pick the Luna ring for your cycle. Pick the SR-2 for the whole picture.
