Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports Apple is in "late-stage testing" for the Apple Watch Series 12, in Wi-Fi and cellular, alongside the Ultra 4. Both are expected in September with faster performance and improved health tracking, and both are expected to look like the Series 11 and Ultra 3 sitting beside them. No new SE is planned this year, which follows from the SE 3 arriving last year rather than from any change of direction.
Gurman also says work is under way on a bigger rethink of the watch but does not expect it for another year or two, and that blood-sugar detection is still aimed at sometime later this decade, on a project dating to the Jobs era.
