Leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 show a watch that looks nothing like its predecessor and a lot like the Classic that Samsung is killing off.
The images, circulating ahead of Samsung's Unpacked event in late July, show the Ultra 2 in black, silver, and beige colorways. The boxy case shape and dial numerals that previously belonged to the Galaxy Watch Classic have moved up to the Ultra line. Thinner bezels and an orange-outlined side button are visible across all three colors.
If true, Samsung is dropping the Galaxy Watch 9 Classic entirely. Buyers who want the dressier, rectangular aesthetic now have one path: pay for the Ultra 2.
Samsung is clearly looking to shakeup its Watch line in response to recent gains from competitors, mainly Apple. Recent reports say that the Galaxy Watch market share dropped nearly 30% in Q1 2026, versus nearly 25% growth for the Apple Watch line.
We expect more news on Samsung's Galaxy Watch line and upcoming Galaxy glasses at its Unpacked event on July 22 -- less than one month away.
