Where it shines

  1. Training readiness

Its Readiness score uses sleeping heart rate and heart rate variability.

  2. Sleep

Sleep scores closely match what an Oura Ring and a Fitbit give, and every night is split into light, deep and REM stages.

  3. Fitness

Step counts hold up: on a hand-counted 5,100-step walk it logged 5,086, and it tracks VO2 Max and sports performance.

Some features missing

Both can use Apple Health, but Helio sleep doesn't become Apple Watch sleep data.

Users report wearing both devices and seeing some Helio data in Apple Health or third-party apps. Syncing isn't two-way for Apple Watch workout data, so Zepp may not have the full Apple Watch activity history, and the Apple Watch sleep app doesn't adopt Helio Ring sleep results. You need an iPhone with the Zepp app and Apple Health permissions enabled; both supporting reports are older than 12 months and should be rechecked after major Zepp updates.

Zepp/Apple Health syncing is not two-way for Apple Watch workout data, so Zepp may not contain the complete Apple Watch activity history. Both qualifying community reports are older than 12 months, so this should be rechecked after major Zepp updates.

Turn off Bluetooth on the old phone before connecting the new one.

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on the previously paired phone.
  2. Try connecting the Helio Ring to the new phone.

Amazfit documents this step when moving away from a previously paired phone. It does not explain simultaneous use with multiple phones or the full account-transfer process.

The collected source does not document full account-transfer semantics or simultaneous multi-phone use.

Supports

It's rated 10ATM for water resistance up to 100 meters.

Doesn't work

It doesn't support tap-to-pay because the ring lacks NFC hardware.

Amazfit hasn't announced tap-to-pay or other contactless payments. No payment workaround is reported because the ring doesn't have the NFC hardware needed for it. One supporting review is more than 12 months old.

Core features work without a subscription.

Some features missing

Ovulation prediction is not listed on the maker page.

Some features missing

It tracks sleep breathing quality, but doesn't claim to diagnose sleep apnea.

Amazfit has not said the Helio Ring includes a sleep apnea feature. Wear it during sleep and enable Sleep Breathing Quality Monitoring in Zepp; this is wellness screening, not a diagnostic sleep study or medical diagnosis. Amazfit's current documents confirm sleep breathing quality monitoring, and the two supporting reports are older than 12 months.

This is consumer wellness screening, not a diagnostic sleep study or medical-device diagnosis. The two qualifying community reports are older than 12 months. Current first-party documentation confirms sleep-breathing-quality monitoring but does not explicitly market a diagnostic sleep-apnea test.

US sales are confirmed, but Amazfit hasn't published a full country list.

Amazfit's US product page confirms availability in the United States, but that does not confirm every country. Buy through a supported regional Amazfit storefront; shipping can depend on country, while Zepp Aura and Fitness service availability can also depend on country or account region.

This confirms those storefront regions only, not every country. Hardware sales availability and availability of Zepp Aura/Fitness services are separate questions.

How it works

It uses the included Amazfit wireless charger.

Amazfit lists wireless charging. The theoretical charging time is about 1 hour 40 minutes.

Some features missing

It comes in sizes 8, 10 and 12.

  • 8 (24mm diameter)
  • 10 (25.7mm diameter)
  • 12 (27.3mm diameter)
