Amazfit Helio Ring vs Luna Smart Ring Gen 2: which should you buy?

The Amazfit Helio Ring and the Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 do different jobs. The Amazfit Helio Ring is the ring for training and recovery. The Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 is the ring for cycle and fertility tracking, with no monthly fee.

Who should get the Amazfit Helio Ring

Get the Helio Ring if you train and want a ring that tells you when to push and when to rest. Amazfit builds its Readiness score from your sleeping heart rate and heart rate variability, and it tracks aerobic fitness and sports performance over time. It works with an iPhone and with an Android phone.

Who should get the Luna Smart Ring Gen 2

Get the Luna ring if cycle tracking matters to you. Luna uses temperature and heart rate variability for menstrual and ovulation tracking, with Clue sync and no monthly fee. It works with an iPhone and with an Android phone, and it charges nothing extra for size or color.

The differences that matter

Neither ring leads on sleep tracking, battery life or comfort in our comparison, so those do not decide this. The job you want the ring to do does.

The Helio coaches your training, with aerobic fitness and sports performance tracking. The Luna ring reads your cycle from temperature and heart rate variability, and it syncs with the Clue app.

A ring is the quietest way to track sleep: no screen, nothing on your wrist, and nothing to wake you. Get your size right before you order, because a ring that sits loose reads poorly. Most makers send a sizing kit first, and it is worth the wait.

Price and value

Today the Amazfit Helio Ring costs $161.83 (checked Nov. 2, 2026) and the Luna Smart Ring Gen 2 costs $249 (checked Nov. 2, 2026). The Amazfit Helio Ring is cheaper by $87.

Pick the Helio to train. Pick the Luna ring to track your cycle.
