DirecTV launched its live TV app on Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S, and Pro headsets, making it the first pay-TV provider to offer live channels on the platform.
DirecTV now streams live TV inside a Meta Quest headset, and Apple Vision Pro still has no DirecTV app at all. Live TV is harder to stream than movies because sports and news fall apart the moment the connection hiccups, so DirecTV picking Quest over Vision Pro is a vote of confidence. Apple's headset costs more and has fewer apps to show for it.
