What to know

Apple's camera-equipped AirPods are now scheduled to launch in late 2027, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in June 2026. Earlier reporting had pointed to 2026.

The Mac Observer reported that supply chain problems and unfinished software pushed the launch into 2027. In August 2026 a leak suggested the earbuds might arrive sooner, but Gurman said the effort remains on track for 2027.

Apple has not announced the product or a release date.
