Garmin hasn't announced a new MARQ, but its own support site already lists one. Garmin Rumors spotted MARQ Gen 3 on three of Garmin's Spanish-language help pages, almost exactly four years after the second generation launched on October 11, 2022.

The clearest mention is on the page that lists which watches work with Garmin Explore, the company's app for planning routes and saving maps. Under MARQ, it names the original watches, MARQ Gen 2 and MARQ Gen 3. The same name turns up in a help article on connecting accessories and in another on adding weather locations to a watch. Garmin's support sites for Chile and Argentina carry the Explore listing too. The English pages still stop at Gen 2.

MARQ is Garmin's luxury line, sold in versions built for athletes, golfers, pilots and outdoor use. Gen 2 brought AMOLED screens, touch controls, Grade 5 titanium cases and multi-band GPS (satellite positioning that holds its line better among tall buildings and trees) in 2022, starting at $1,900. Since then Garmin has changed what the watches are made of, not what's inside them. Carbon fibre versions of the Athlete, Golfer and Commander arrived in 2023, and a Damascus steel Adventurer followed in 2024. The carbon editions pushed prices higher still.

The Fenix 9 family arrived in August with new hardware and software. The Enduro 4 went on sale on October 9 at $899.99, with double the storage of the Enduro 3. A MARQ bought today costs more than twice that and runs on a platform from 2022.

The Enduro 4 also turned up on some of Garmin's regional websites in early October, a few days before it went on sale. Certification paperwork in the Eurasian Economic Union named it alongside the tactix 9, Garmin's military-styled watch, while both were still unreleased. The tactix 9 hasn't launched yet.

Garmin hasn't said what MARQ Gen 3 changes, what it costs or when it goes on sale. If you were about to spend $1,900 or more on a MARQ Gen 2, hold off until it does.
